BIO: Kelly Spillane, RN, BSN
Kelly Spillane, RN, BSN, is a dynamic, personable professional who is serious about addressing all of your skin care needs. She will spend the time to meet with you, one on one, to discuss your specific goals and will develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your needs. Kelly is a results-oriented individual who is committed to working with you whether you are preparing for your twentieth high school reunion, a wedding, or whether you are simply looking to maintain or recapture youthful, healthy skin.
Kelly is a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. She was raised in River Forest, Illinois, where her family still resides. Kelly attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 1987 with a degree in Health and Safety Studies. She furthered her education and in 1995 graduated from Rush University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Kelly spent two years working in the operating room at Rush Medical Center where she worked primarily in the specialty area of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 1997, Kelly went on to work at Same Day Surgery Centers, a Chicago based outpatient surgery facility, where she cared for patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively. In 1999, Kelly joined the practice of John Q. Cook, MD, a prominent plastic surgeon on the staff at Rush Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois.
During her four years with Dr. Cook, Kelly cared for surgical patients and was principally responsible for the skin care components of his practice. As the skin care nurse, Kelly gained invaluable, broad-based experience in both injectable and non-surgical skin care treatments. Kelly administered BOTOX® and Collagen injections and performed other skin care procedures including peels and laser treatments. In addition to Kelly's substantial practical experience, she has dedicated herself to attending continuing education seminars and has obtained specialty certifications in her fields of expertise, including:
- BOTOX® - master level injector;
- Nurse Collagen Specialist; and
- Laser Certifications for skin rejuvenation, hair removal, and skin conditions including photodamage, acne and rosacea, through the use of Fotofacial RF Laser, Candela Laser, Lumenis Laser, Cool Touch Laser, and the Altus Laser.
Additionally, Kelly has substantial expertise in the use of medical grade skin care products including Jan Marini, Obagi, Physicians Choice of Arizona, Inc., Procyte and Refinity to name a few.
Kelly has the ability and willingness to develop a personalized skin care protocol that will suit your needs and leave you feeling, and looking, your best.
